Despite a moderate economy, the internationally active company BMD Systemhaus GmbH was able to record sales growth of 11.3% in the past fiscal year. The company's sales amounted to 40.3 million euros in fiscal year 2015/16. This represents an increase of over €4.1 million compared to 2014/15. "There was good growth in all business areas. However, special growth in detail was achieved by the training sector with an increase in sales of almost 17.54%," explains BMD Managing Director Ferdinand Wieser.

Expansion of Steyr site: BMD invests 10 million euros in a support center

As in previous years, the growth in new customers was accompanied by an increase in the number of employees in order to maintain customer service at the usual high level. Due to the shortage of jobs in Steyr, a concept for the construction of BMD3 is now being planned. Preparations for a planned architectural competition have already been completed. BMD3 is to be a building for around 180 employees in which the New work@BMD concept will also be implemented.
