Vienna (LCG) - As the official representative of the world's most important communication festival on the Côte d'Azur, ORF-Enterprise invited for the first time not to the "Cannes Rolle" on Friday evening, but under a new name to the "ORF-Enterprise Cannes Lions Night" in the COLOSSEUM XXI and handed over the trophies to the proud winners: Jung von Matt/Donau as well as Reichl und Partner were able to impress the top-class international jury this year in the categories "Press" and "Outdoor". Around 600 advertisers, marketers and communicators cheered the domestic successes and fell under the spell of excellent creation while marveling at the spots and campaigns of the Grand Prix winners of all competitions as well as the best works of the Film and Titanium & Integrated Lions.
"The spots shown at the ORF-Enterprise Cannes Lions Night are the best proof of the charisma of TV advertising and prove how this genre keeps reinventing itself on the pulse of time," said ORF-Enterprise CEO Oliver Böhm. "Four Lions for Austria in the king categories Press and Outdoor show again this year that red-white-red campaigns play in the international top league," congratulated Cannes Lions Festival Representative Reinhard Schwarzinger.
Lion winner Rainer Reichl from Reichl und Partner: "We are particularly delighted with the Lion for List General Contractor in the Press category. In times of increasing digitalization, it is clear proof that excellent creation in print media works sustainably and inspires. As one of the largest owner-managed agency groups in Austria, the Bronze Lion is not only a wonderful success for our team, but also an incentive to deliver top performance in all media categories every day!"
Josef Koinig from Jung von Matt/Donau received three Lions for his Smart for Two campaign, scoring points in the Press and Outdoor categories. "Winning in two traditional categories with one campaign is great motivation and clear proof that our momentum works across all media."
Multiple award-winning Vangardist campaign in Vienna
The team behind the Vangardist HIV+ campaign "#HIVHEROES" provided a moving and profound moment. Together with the clients of Vangardist magazine and the multiple Cannes Lions award-winning Swiss agency Saatchi&Saatchi, the HIV-positive protagonists and heroes of the campaign stepped into the public spotlight and received a standing ovation for their campaign with depth.
Prominent well-wishers celebrated the winners
At the invitation of ORF Enterprise, ORF Enterprise Managing Director Beatrice Cox-Riesenfelder, Cannes Lions juror Robert Dassel, Flimmit founders Karin Haager and Ulrich-Müller-Uri, Diesel Marketing Manager Harald Haasse, Vöslauer CEO Alfred Hudler, ORF Event Marketing Manager Wolfgang Nachtwey, ORF TVthek CEO Thomas Prantner, among others, celebrated and congratulated the winners, MasterCard Marketing Manager Christian Schicker, Schlumberger Brand Manager Anna Srienz, second wife Diana Lueger, last year's Young Lions winners Doris Christina Steiner and Pepita Adelmann from Ketchum Publico, HORIZONT media expert Birgit Schaller, agency boss Peter Aigner, Manpower manager Michael Müllner-Baatz and PR expert Heidi Schuller-Hrusa to the winners from Jung von Matt/Donau, Reichl und Partner and the lionized Vangardist #HIVHEROES.
