The company history of Gmundner Keramik began more than half a millennium ago: 1492 - the year of the discovery of America. At that time, the "Hafnerhaus am Graben", which later became the Gmundner Keramik Manufaktur, was first mentioned in a document. Already in the 17th century Gmunden was considered a stronghold of old Austrian fine and ornamental ceramics. Even then, the "green-flamed" design that is still so famous today was created.
Inspired by the unique lake and mountain landscape of the Salzkammergut, a craft has developed in Gmunden that has become a table cult in Austria - Gmundner Keramik.
Each piece is a hand-painted unique and Gmundner ceramics stands for real values. For closeness to nature, hospitality and a sense of tradition. Values that are once again experiencing a true renaissance.
