A good idea and its backstory

What you experience up close or hear from someone you know touches you more than a thousand pictures ever could. This was also the case for the Reichl family.
“In summer 2007, Josefine Bauer, a family friend, decided to go to Malawi for a few months – mainly to help AIDS orphans, of whom there are thousands. She regularly sent us photos and personal accounts of everyday life in Malawian villages, which we followed with increasing dismay. During the time she was there, Josefine provided us with pictures and stories that were so authentic we felt we were almost there ourselves and were experiencing the poverty and deprivation of the people, but also their hospitality and joie de vivre first hand. We therefore decided to contribute to real-life development aid.”
