Gmundner Keramik is one of the oldest ceramic manufactories in Europe and had been somewhat forgotten in recent years. The goal of the relaunch was to breathe new life into the brand and bring it into the present day. A new, bold overall appearance was to make the brand desirable beyond the borders of Austria.

Strategy

Longing and emotions.

Recharging the brand with positive emotions and aspirations was the goal. This is achieved with a visual language that reinterprets old Austrian traditions and brings them into a textual field of tension of deliberately “rural” expressions and an international touch. In addition, new distribution channels and brand contact points were created. The “Mix & Match” theme also made it possible to introduce younger target groups to a traditional brand like Gmundner Keramik in a completely new way.

Implementation

Tradition meets modernity.

REICHLUNDPARTNER accompanies Gmundner Keramik intensively on all domestic and foreign communication channels – from the print appearance to the design of the new brand store in Salzburg’s Getreidegasse. In addition, the online presence was updated and expanded to include an online store. And REICHLUNDPARTNER also provides the right publicity in the PR sector. However, the most important thing was to create enthusiasm for Gmundner ceramics in the trade again. And this has been more than successful with the new brand identity!
