Vienna, 28.04.2016 - Admittedly - gas cylinders are not necessarily sexy. But especially when grilling, gas offers many significant advantages over charcoal grilling. The TV chefs Andi & Alex proved that you can also conjure up completely different dishes apart from sausages on a gas grill. To the opening of the grill season the upper-Austrian liquid gas offerer dopgas invited yesterday evening together with Andi & Alex into the beach bar Herrmann. "There doesn't always have to be pork chops or bratwurst when grilling," explains Andreas Wojta, "On the contrary, there are countless dishes that can be prepared simply but stylishly on the grill!" Perfectly fitting for the asparagus season, we had a variation of grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce as an appetizer. Then the professional chefs served grilled veal cheeks with mashed potatoes and fillet of Tullnerfeld pork grilled whole with spelt wheat risotto & chorizo. "With our Grillevent we want to point out the many advantages of grilling with gas to the guests and take them the unfounded fear before it. Who can do that better than professionals like Andi & Alex?" says Oliver Krammer, Managing Director of Doppler Gas GmbH.

The advantages of a gas grill are many: no more preparation time, the heating of the grill incl. Smoke and waiting is eliminated. Lugging heavy gas cylinders is also a thing of the past; the lightweight gas cylinder weighs just 5 kg. Thus, nothing stands in the way of a barbecue among girls. "For most people it is unbelievable that it makes no difference in taste whether the grilled food was prepared on a charcoal grill or a gas grill!" reports TV chef Andreas Wojta.
