Want to get started in the world of smartphone videos and take your social media profile to the next level? Here are a few tips we took away from the Filmdosis workshop to help you on your way to video stardom:

1. format choice is key 📏:
– landscape for YouTube
– square for Instagram & LinkedIn
– portrait for Stories, Facebook & LinkedIn

2. think about the resolution 🌟:
– Full HD (1080p) for smartphones is sufficient
– 4K consumes too much storage space

3. light, camera, action! 💡🎥:
– Use daylight – it’s the most favorable light!
– If necessary: desk lamp, softbox, ring light & Co.

4. sound is king 👑 🎵 :
– music creates atmosphere
– don’t forget subtitles – many people watch without sound!

5. selfies like a pro 🤳:
– Use a tripod, good light & microphone
– Be creative if you don’t have a tripod to hand.
– Avoid the selfie camera if possible

6. practice, practice, practice! 🔄:
– Try out what works and what doesn’t. Because here, too, practice makes perfect!
