A good idea and its history

What you experience up close or hear from someone close touches you more than a thousand pictures ever could. This was also the case for the Reichl family.

“In the summer of 2007, Josefine Bauer, a friend of our family, decided to go to Malawi for a few months to help AIDS orphans, of whom there are thousands there. She regularly sent photos and personal reports of everyday life in the Malawian villages, which we followed with increasing dismay. Through her months-long presence on site, Josefine provided us with such authentic pictures and stories that we almost felt as if we were there ourselves, experiencing the poverty and deprivation of the people as well as their hospitality and joie de vivre at first hand. We therefore decided to make a contribution to active development aid.”
