Last year, Reichl und Partner itself entered the prestigious Cannes Lions and promptly brought home a Bronze Lion in the "Press" category (Client List General Contractor). This year our creative director Renate Lugmayr is on site again to use this great event as a source of inspiration for our agency. Here are some impressions directly from the epicenter of creativity.

Everyone who saw Anna Wintour today, Tuesday June 21, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lumière Theatre in the Palais de Festival in Cannes, got a completely new impression of this icon, who is said to be the template for Meryl Streep's character of the ruthless head of a major fashion magazine  in the film "The Devil Wears Prada" was. She was introduced by the CCO and CEO of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, who described her as an inspirational personality who would "never ever ever ever ever" do something by halves, and regularly uses her fame for charity campaigns. In fact, Anna Wintour took the stage as a rather quiet person, but one who is very much blessed with a fine sense of humor.

Anna Wintour, Editor of Vogue and Artistic Director of the Condé Nast media group, which owns 21 of the world's most widely read magazines and digital platforms, had 4 tips ready for the auditorium:

1. be ambitious: the goal should always be to generate "immediate interest"  - but with "lasting effect". Also, don't make the mistake of putting less creativity or energy into advertising that's "just for the web." The digital world has become too important for that.

2. dare to be different: being different is not a flaw. On the contrary, we have to admit that we are different in some things. The desire for authenticity is greater than ever. Also on the part of consumers. They want honesty. It's better to break out than to conform - "even if it is frightening to step out of the mainstream." "Don't play the game - reinvent it!"

3. use all your gold: you should put everything you have in the balance. In the digital age, for example, you shouldn't wait until the really big campaign is fixed and ready, but also put "bits'n'pieces" online on the way there and let people participate.

4. make interesting friends: it is better to go out and meet interesting people than to always sit in the office. "Practice a more collaborative style of work.

Because in an atomized society, networking is more important than ever. You have to connect with the world, and also with your target audience. Besides, you can always learn something from other people.

On the subject of change, Wintour says, "Embrace it!" And related to the personal change that each person goes through: "When you are young, you want to move upwards. Later on you should rather move forward."
