The industry magazine Der Österreichische Journalist has brought the country's journalists before the curtain. In 2014, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Hugo Portisch, who was, among other things, editor-in-chief of the Kurier, foreign correspondent for ORF and author of books and documentaries on contemporary history.  The prize for "Journalist of the Year" was won by Ukraine correspondent Christian Wehrschütz. Kurt Kuch of News was honored in the Investigation category, and Editorial of the Year was Press.
