Distribution area of the campaign: Austria

Initial situation

Not a classic campaign, but an appeal for donations.

The Research Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the University Hospital Salzburg works to provide the best possible treatment for children with rare metabolic diseases, nutritional and developmental disorders. In order to raise more money for the research, we were commissioned to find a name, develop a logo and work out a fundraising campaign.

Strategy

Not a miracle, but research.

Listening to the stories of the patients, one has the feeling that it is a miracle. However, the treatment successes are the result of successful research work. Hence the claim: No miracle, but research and the new name for the research institute: young.hope. Because there is reason for hope, since even with unique diseases the complaints could be alleviated or even cured.

Implementation

Not fake, but real patients.

In our fundraising campaign, we briefly tell the stories of Sarah and Maria, who have made great progress thanks to young.hope’s research and treatment. We designed and implemented spots for TV, online, posters, ads and banners as well as the website within the framework of the CI we developed.

PR measures

Hybrid press conference

Accompanying the comprehensive campaign, REICHLUNDPARTNER-PR decided to hold a deliberately supra-regional press conference as a communication tool for the launch of the new YOUNG.HOPE research center.

It was important to us to make visible and to appeal to the public that these children, adolescents and parents, who are unfortunately often dismissed as “sad individual fates”, on the one hand, and the medical profession (and research) on the other, are heard.

The press conference was held hybrid as usual today, i.e. divided into a “presence” part for the regional Salzburg media and an online part for the national, Austrian media. Media from the categories of daily, weekly and monthly newspapers/magazines as well as specialist magazines from the areas of family, parents, women, lifestyle, life and society.
