Initial situation & strategy
In July 2013, BP Gas Austria became the new brand dopgas under the umbrella of DOPPLER Gas GmbH. Consequently, dopgas is the only domestic liquefied petroleum gas supplier that is wholly owned by an Austrian company. The value added thus remains completely in Austria.
REICHLUNDPARTNER developed a holistic positioning and communication concept for the new brand. The core of the strategy is to promote the advantages of the liquid gas brand distributed exclusively in Austria – rapid availability, excellent customer service and a nationwide distribution network – in order to increase awareness of dopgas. Customers should perceive dopgas as a reliable and first-class Austrian supplier.
The Austrian reference of the brand dopgas determined the logo development as well as the choice of the wording. For this purpose, REICHLUNDPARTNER designed striking key visuals with high recognition value. Both the print and online presence communicate dopgas’ proximity to customers and its comprehensive range of services. In addition, REICHLUNDPARTNER Digital is converting the dopgas.at website to match the print presence, picking up on the wording and striking key visual. Special features include integrated sales outlet searches for gas cylinders and filling stations throughout Austria. Via an address selection or a radius search, users have the possibility to find the suitable dopgas sales office in their vicinity easily and quickly.

More than 30,000 attractive prizes awaited all dopgas friends in spring 2019: Anyone who wanted to win a dopgas light bottle, barbecue tongs, a beverage can cooler or a barbecue book from barbecue world champion Adi Matzek just had to grab a dopgas scratch ticket – every ticket was a prize! REICHLUNDPARTNER created the POS material and the prize cards for this promotion.
