The pioneering role in the field of digital media art and a culturally oriented urban development established Linz as a creative center in Europe. This is confirmed by the European Union's "Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor", published in July 2017. Out of 168 European cities, Linz scores very good, to excellent. Europe's creative economic hub attracts innovative companies, and REICHLUNDPARTNER-LINZ is no exception. The new location in the Promenade Galleries supports the spirit of the city and provides fertile ground for new ideas. Yesterday, 40 students, including copywriters, consultants and graphic designers,  at the Werbe Akademie Wien were able to see this for themselves. They accepted an invitation from the creative agency to meet at Upper Austria's creative pulse. In cooperation with the Creative Region Linz and Upper Austria and the Ars Electronica Center, a diverse program was offered.

A marketing professional, Prof. Leopold Ziereis, Managing Director of Strategie Austria accompanies the students. He has been taking care of young talent in the advertising industry for over 20 years. After working in agencies and the Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Vienna, he has been leading coaching and consulting projects for agencies since 2006. He also continues to support young talent. He was already enthusiastic about the Linzers' offer in the run-up to the event:

"The school management, the lecturers and the students think it is great and generous that such an interesting and exciting excursion is organized and financed by REICHLUNDPARTNER. Everyone is really looking forward to  this event."

The young marketing professionals spent a whole day in Linz. In "New York", the large meeting room at REICHLUNDPARTNER, the Viennese students arrived. After a presentation of the agency and the Creative Region Austria, a lively exchange followed. The new approaches of the youth, combined with inputs from experienced communication experts, led to a lively discussion about "talent, technology and tolerance." An agency tour led to a walk through Linz and finally ended at the Ars Electronica Center. During a guided tour, the creative group marveled at the highlights of the exhibition there. The trip ended with Networkig having farewell drinks at Cubus, the bar-restaurant on the top floor of  AEC.

The Advertising Academy

It all began in the 20th century, when the Vienna Merchants' Fund (founded in 1909) offered courses in window dressing. These were the first steps of the forerunner of today's Advertising Academy. It is now one of the most recognized training and further education centers for market communication and graphic design. Young people with creative potential develop here into top junior staff for the communications industry.

First contacts with future employers are created during the training. Leading partners in the industry support the academy. The focus is on combining theory and practice. The exchange of knowledge and experience between experienced communications experts and young, up-and-coming professionals forms the basis for the international competitiveness of the Austrian advertising industry.
