Initial situation

Together against cancer

Cancer is the leading cause of death in many countries worldwide. One in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed with cancer in the course of their lives. And no one is too young or too old to develop or die from it. Yet Austrian cancer research is already achieving top international results. At the Salzburg Cancer Research Institute (SCRI), a research team led by internationally renowned oncologist Univ.-Prof. Dr. Richard Greil is committed to new therapies on a daily basis.

Strategy

In the beginning there was a vision

Under the motto “We defeat cancer”, REICHLUNDPARTNER developed an attention-grabbing campaign together with SCRI, centered on a strong vision: by 2050, no one should die of cancer in Austria. Science has often succeeded in making the impossible possible. The visual core of the campaign therefore includes images of the moon landing. It once seemed as unimaginable as our vision of beating cancer. But behind every event are people who try the impossible until it succeeds.

Implementation

A comprehensive campaign

REICHLUNDPARTNER is responsible for the entire appearance of “We beat cancer” – including the word-image brand. In addition to a dedicated website(www.wir-besiegen-krebs.at), posters and folders as well as radio and TV spots ensure that the achievements of cancer research at SCRI also receive increased public attention. In addition to raising awareness, the campaign aims to raise financial support for the Salzburg Cancer Research Institute.
