Initial situation

Information provides security

The government’s planned phase-out of heating oil as an energy source by 2040 is unsettling many owners of oil heating systems. The Energy Trade Association of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) therefore launched an information campaign created by REICHLUNDPARTNER in November 2018, which communicated the basic security of supply – and also highlighted prospects for the future.

Sympathetic & reliable

The protagonist of our campaign for the energy trade was a likeable heating oil truck, illustrated in-house, which drives through the country and clearly signals: Heating oil will be around for many years to come! The info card also highlighted the prospect that the industry is already working on liquid renewable energy sources that will one day replace heating oil.

In order to optimally reach the 90,000 Upper Austrian households with oil heating, 16-sheet posters were affixed at selected locations. In addition, an information card was issued for distribution by heating oil dealers. Other promotional tools: advertisements, Facebook postings and a roll-up.
