TGW Robotics GmbH

As of June 20, 2016, TGW Logistics Group took over CHM Automatisierungstechnik GmbH from Stephanskirchen near Rosenheim/Germany. The experts in robotics and automation technology expand the TGW portfolio and are integrated into the group as a wholly owned subsidiary: TGW Robotics GmbH. The new TGW member designs and builds special machines, including gantry robots and grippers as well as special conveying technology. The control of the robots, including articulated robots, is also an essential feature of the new TGW unit. These technologies are mainly used in the area of palletizing cartons in production plants. "TGW joins as a long-term thinking, strategic investor and stands for continuity, stability, innovation and significantly better growth opportunities", explains Georg Kirchmayr .

The site in Stephanskirchen, Germany, is to remain in place for the long term. Georg Kirchmayr: " CHM has established itself in the market and can demonstrate enormous knowledge and know-how. That is why we are, of course, sticking to both the Stephanskirchen site and the 60-strong team." With the headquarters in Wels, strategic development projects are implemented, especially in the area of 'automated single piece picking'. The current business in automation solutions in the production area will also be continued.
